Edgar Blevins Randles
Edgar Blevins Randles, 50, of Rossville, Ga., died on Sunday, October 14, 2007.
He was born January 16, 1957 in Somerville, Tn., to John Randles, Sr. and the late Jean C. Randles. He spent much of his life in Jackson, Tn., before moving to Northwest Georgia five years ago.
Eddie was a member of Gospel Baptist Tabernacle, a lifetime member in good standing at Elks Lodge BPOE # 192 in Jackson, was an avid sports fan and excellent golfer.
He is survived by his son, Cody Randles, Rossville; stepchildren, Tiffany Szweda and Michelle Penney; two sisters and brother-in-law, Judith Kuehner, Herrin, Il., Elizabeth and Robert Barger, Lavinia, Tn.; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Debra Randles, Jr., Chattanooga; nieces and nephews, Randle Kuehner, Kristin Dillman, Angie Morris, Amy Doyle and Ashley Randles; friend, Joy Gadd, and devoted pet, Oreo.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Thompson officiating. Entombment will follow in Calvary Gardens Mausoleum.
His family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.
In lieu of flowers, an educational fund has been set up at any Bank of America location to benefit Eddie’s minor son, Cody Randles.
