“Bottled Up” is coming to Chattanooga Market again on July 22, as Chattanooga Coca Cola Bottling Company sponsors the Coca Cola memorabilia show and sale from 12-5 p.m.
According to Rick Hansard, Marketing Director for Chattanooga Coca Cola Bottling Company, collectors of Coca Cola items are being invited to fill approximately 30 booths at the event. Booth fees are $50 for a 10’ x 10’ space and $75 for a 10’ x 20’ space. All proceeds from the booth rental and the silent auction will benefit the North River Family YMCA and Aquatic Center, providing financial assistance so that children, teens, adults and families may participate in Y programs such as after school care, teen leadership programs, youth sports and YMCA memberships.
Experts will be available at the show to appraise the value of any Coca Cola items that people may want to bring and also to explain the history of the pieces. A silent auction will also be held, giving visitors an opportunity to bid on rare and valuable Coca Cola memorabilia and other items such as an original stained glass door.
Chattanooga Market takes place 32 weeks a year in the First Tennessee Pavilion on Carter Street. The market has a different theme each week, and admission is free. For more information about the Chattanooga Market, visit their website www.chattanoogamarket.com.
Event planners point out that security for the booth vendors will be in place beginning at 6 a.m. on Sunday morning so that participants may set up their booth spaces early, then go to church and still get back to the pavilion before the market opens.
“Interest in this event continues to grow, and we expect a wide variety of Coca Cola items again this year,” said Mr. Hansard. “We had a great response in 2006 and, we expect a great turnout from people who either want to purchase vintage Coca Cola memorabilia or who want to know the market value of the items that they already have.”
