Susan Jeanette Wood, 30 of Ringgold, died on Wednesday, September 5, 2007.
Susan was preceded in death by her grandmother, Velma “Kelly” Baker. She loved to volunteer at Woodstation Elementary School as a classroom mother, and was a member of Living Stones Ministries.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Wood; children, Caleb, Seth, and Megan Wood, all of Ringgold; mother and step-father, Nancy and Charles White; father and step-mother, David and Dorothy Gifford all of Chattanooga; siblings, Rhonda Elrod of Chattanooga, Steven Gifford of Grand Rapids, Mi., Emmalee Gifford of Chattanooga, Timmy white of McDonald, Tn.; Heather and Christy Carroll, both of Fort Oglethorpe, Doug Gifford of Bryant, Al.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel with Brother Frank A. McCarley officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
Her family will receive friends after 4 p.m. on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Susan Wood Cancer Fund at Northwest Georgia Bank in Ringgold, Ga.
