Swinford, Charles "June Bug" (Cleveland)

Charles “June Bug” Swinford, 55, of Cleveland, died on Thursday, February 12, 2009 in a local hospital.

He was of the Christian faith. He was a self-employed truck driver, working in this area for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. Swinford and Lula Mae Dotson Swinford.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Smith Swinford of Cleveland; two children, Charles Brent Swinford and Heather Swinford both of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Cid Swinford, Ebony Lister, Jeremiah Moody and Nathaniel Moody; one brother, Ronald Swinford and wife, Sue; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Maebell Smith; sisters-in-law, Connie Smith and Cathy Smith; three nieces, Tina Overton, Latishua Overton and Brittany Overton; one nephew, Michael Sutton all of Cleveland.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor John Bivens officiating. Interment will follow in Price Chapel Cemetery with Charles Swinford, James Sutton, Phillip Johnson, Harold Smith, Dewayne Bandy, Larry Perry and Chris Starky serving as pallbearers. A dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

Ralph Buckner Funeral Homes is in charge of the arrangements.
