James Ivan Whittemore, of Soddy Daisy, died on Friday, November 5.
James was retired from Roadway Express and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a very proud father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved to play golf.
Survivors include his daughter, Jamie C. (Ronnie) Fletcher of East Ridge; son, Bruce I. (Cynthia) Whittemore of Soddy Daisy; sister, Allene Holsomback of Ringgold; brothers, Julius Whittemore of Chattanooga and Edward Whittemore of Ohio; grandchildren, Eric Turner, Amber Fletcher, Candice Fletcher, Jenifer Whittemore, Richard (Ashley) Whittemore and Byron Whittemore; great-grandchildren, Audrey Miles and Elliott Whittemore; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Monday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel on Ashland Terrace with Reverend Kelton Williams officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Nov. 7, from 2–7 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.
