Republican Senators Never Mention The Budget - And Response (2)

  • Wednesday, December 22, 2010

Interesting how if they want something, the thought of the budget/debt is never mentioned. I have written each of them several times and the only answer I get is something that has nothing to do with my question to them.

I find it so interesting that while President Bush and Cheney were in office and took us to a war that never should have been, neither of them ever mentioned the budget or debt. Wonder how much the war has contributed to our national debt?

They said we could not extend unemployment because it would add to the debt.

Could not give a $250 bonus to people on social security to those who had not received a cost of living adjustment in several years. Again it would have added to the debt.

But we can add over $900 billion dollars over two years to give billionaires tax cuts. This will cost more in two years than the healthcare reform will in 10. We now see where the Republican priorities lie.

Where is the Tea Party in all this?

If you calculate the money spent on illegal immigrants and a few "select" Democratic programs, it actually dwarfs the war effort.

I am fortunate enough to have a brother who flies F18s for the Navy. My brother has worked hard his whole life and is one of the most respectable men I know.

The current administration has cut his administration effort, backbone supply, etc. If you want to be free, you need a backbone for those who wonder. The money was cut by a new "celebrity" in the White House named Obama.

You shall blame Bush all you want, but the Clinton administration started the collapse. I bust my tail every day and always call it like I see it. You can blame a ill-founded war all you would like, but I would rather have backbone in a country.

You may give in to the school yard bully taking the sandwich at lunch, but evidently George Bush had enough. The current war pales in comparison to the money that has been spent on streets in "Duwee Cheatem & Howe" subdivision.
