Billy Joe Eaton, 75, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, January 25, 2012.

A native of New Boston, Texas, he had lived in the Chattanooga area for the past 52 years, he was a former employee of Shaw Industries where he worked for over 20 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Alice Lucille Pasley Eaton; son, Tony Glenn Eaton and wife, Ruby Jasko Eaton.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Ronnie Duke of Jonesboro, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Stevie and Evelyn Eaton of Sanger, Tx.; stepsons, Ronnie Long of East Ridge, and Doyle Shook of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; sister, Mary Margaret Shriver of Pine Bluff, Ak.; two brothers, Houston Eaton of Powder Springs, Ga., and Gary Eaton of Kansas; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend James Tanner officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, from 6-9 p.m., and Saturday until funeral time at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
