Jacqueline McDuffie
Jacqueline Anell Walker McDuffie, 70, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, January 31, 2012.
She was the first born to Herschel Walker, Sr. and Nellie Mae Jones Walker.
As a child, Jacqueline attended St. James A.M.E. Church. She later moved her membership to Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church.
Jacqueline graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in the class of 1959. She retired from Dupont Corporation in 1991.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel Walker, Sr. and Nellie Walker McReynolds; stepfather, Willie McReynolds; brother, Shareef Shamsud-Din Al-Jizah (Hershel Walker, Jr.); sisters, Ruth Amaker and Nettie Humphrey.
Survivors include daughters, Maria (Jonathan) Byers, Trina (Tyrone) Powell, Yolanda McDuffie and Marshena (Shakil) Ali; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Malcolm Walker and Ronald Walker; sisters, Diane (Joe) Taylor, Betty Greatheart and Juanita (Michael) Hoskins; aunts, Elizabeth Trimble and Jerrel Dean Knowles; several nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 3, from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 4, at noon in the chapel with Reverend Randall Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
