Martha Frances Gentry Tindell, 82, of Rossville, died on August 11, 2013.  

She was a lifelong resident of North Georgia where she was a member of the Midway Baptist Church.  She sang with the Gentry Family Quartet, was retired from Provident Insurance and had also worked at Bea’s Restaurant, Terdon Restaurant, Planter’s Peanuts, and Simco Saddle Company.  Her passions in life were enjoying her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Tindell; parents, Rellis and Lalia Gentry; brother, R.J. Gentry, Jr.; and sister, Grace Gentry Curtis.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Doyle and Debbie Tindell and David and Carol Tindell; sister, Margaret (Jackie) Swanson; brother, Wayne Gentry; grandchildren, Jennifer Tindell, David Tindell, Jr., and Chad Tindell; great grandchildren, Caroline Tindell, Trey Tindell, and Laney Tindell, all of Rossville; lifelong friend, Roy Dickey; special friends, Jerry and Jane Hollifield, Karen Melton, and Margaret Ruffin; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Diane Lawson for her love and care during this time.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Jackie Swanson officiating. Burial will follow at the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. David Tindell Jr., Chad Tindell, Jason Alspaugh, Josh VanNice, Ross Flegal, and Micheal Terrain will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, Aug. 12, from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
