County Commission In 3-Way Tie For Chairman Pro Temp

Fred Skillern was the unanimous pick for County Commission chairman, but the choice was not so clear for chairman pro temp.

In two ballots, there remained a three-way tie between Chester Bankston, Tim Boyd and Jim Fields.

There will be another vote to try to break the logjam next Wednesday morning.

Commissioner Bankston got support from himself, Marty Haynes and Larry Henry.

Commissioner Boyd was backed by himself, Greg Beck and Warren Mackey.

Commissioner Fields received votes from himself, Joe Graham and Chairman Skillern.
