Females Over 60 Raped In Hixson, Brainerd; Black Male 5'9"-6' With Braided Hair Is Suspect In Both

The Chattanooga Police Department is advising the public of two separate incidents of rape that were reported over the weekend.  The incidents occurred in the Brainerd and Hixson areas. The victims were female over the age of 60.

Police said, "For the concern of the victims, detailed geographical information and exact ages will not be released. CPD Investigators are currently investigating multiple leads in both cases and working to determine if the two incidents are related.

Information provided by both victims describe a black male, between 5’9' and six feet in height with braided hair.

"The investigation is ongoing. Information that will not jeopardize the safety of the victims or the integrity of the case will be released as it is available. If anyone has information regarding these suspects please call (423) 698-2525.  If anyone sees any suspicious behavior or any possible suspect that may be related to this incident please call 911 immediately.

"Officers will be in the area actively in search of any suspicious activity."
