Richard Patrick
Richard “Bug” Patrick, Jr., 63, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Thursday, December 24, 2015.
Richard was born January 16, 1952 to Lottie Mae Johnson and Richard Patrick, Sr. He graduated from Riverside High School and was previously employed with the Chattanooga Gas Company. He enjoyed working and spending time with his family. He was an avid swimmer, and often joked that his real nickname is “Waterdog.” He spent most of his weekends cooking. He also enjoyed reading, joking, telling humorous stories and spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lottie Mae Johnson and Richard Patrick Sr; four brothers Richard, Steve, and David Patrick, Edward Johnson.
He is survived by his daughter, Mariah (Aydin) HuQ, step-daughter, Lake (Kevin) Ochshorn, four grandchildren, Lauren and Ethan HuQ, and Ian and Seth Ochshorn; sisters, Dorothy (James) Douglas, Chattanooga. Glenda Moore, Deborah Patrick, Betty Jean Caffey; several nieces and nephews, Ivy (Dale) Gore, Tawanna Moore, Larry and Jimmy Dunnigan, Gary and Jermaine Tarpon.
Public viewing will be held from 8:30 a.m.–1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, at the funeral home.
A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens with Minister Willie Springs officiating.
The family will gather at the Scottish Rite Lodge, 1345 Hickory Valley Road from 3-5 p.m. immediately following the burial.
