Phyllis Ison
Phyllis Annette Ison, 72, of Chattanooga, died on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ison; mother, Essie Driver Ison; stepmother, Geraldine Hightower Ison; and sister, Mae Helen Ison.
Survivors include her sons, Dara DaWayne (Toletha) Ison and Carlos Ison, both of Chattanooga; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Robert Ison of Chicago, Reverend Willie Ison of Chattanooga, Larkin (Rozalija) Ison of Athens, AL, and Oliver Ison of Chattanooga; sister, Harriet Buggs of Forest Hills, NY; uncle, Roverend J.E. Hightower, Sr. of Atlanta; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 25, at 10 a.m. in the chapel with Dara DaWayne Ison as the eulogist. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
