TBA Young Lawyers Division To Prepare Free Wills For Local First Responders

  • Thursday, January 26, 2017

Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. will host a Wills for Heroes clinic for Chattanooga area emergency first responders on Saturday, Feb. 11.

The free estate planning event is sponsored by the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and the national Wills for Heroes Foundation. Area attorneys will work together to provide basic estate planning services, such as simple wills and powers of attorney, to qualified first responders, including active, retired, and volunteer firefighters, police officers, paramedics, corrections, and probation officers from federal, state, county, city, and town departments and agencies.

“Each year, lawyers throughout Hamilton County look forward to participating in this great event benefiting our area first responders and their families,” said Alex McVeagh, Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyer board member and Chambliss attorney. "Our Hamilton County heroes will get to leave with a free will and hopefully a little peace of mind."

"The Wills for Heroes program has been the primary public service project of the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division since 2008. To date, the program has benefited thousands of first responders and their families in the state. This special event is an opportunity to give back to those who give so much to the Chattanooga area," officials said.

The clinic will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Chambliss Conference Center in Liberty Tower, 605 Chestnut St. in Chattanooga. Appointments are required and can be made by contacting Alex McVeagh at amcveagh@chamblisslaw.com.
