Maudie Maye Wright went home to God on February 3, 2017, rejoining her parents, Tillman and Jewell Maye and husband Noah T. Wright.

Born Nov. 28, 1936, Maudie is survived by two sons, John P. Oakley and wife Kim of Lavergne, Tn. and Jason Andrew Wright and wife, Chastity of Sale Creek.

Four grandchildren, Karla Oakley (John), Jason Alan Wright, James Noah Wright, and Elizabeth Smith (Jason); three sisters Hazel Poole of Sale Creek, Connie Cooper and husband, Jack of Sale Creek, Trina Sutton Foster and husband, Larry of Cleveland; two brothers, Dewey Maye and wife, Robbie of Sale Creek, and Robert Sutton of Mountain City, Tn.

Maudie loved and was an active member of her congregations at Unity Baptist Church and Anchorage Baptist Temple.

A shining star of humanity and good-will, Maudie will be missed by a large extended family and many friends including Lynn Abear and Shane Bohlman and family, both of Anchorage.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 11, at Unity Baptist Church, 14420 Stormer Rd. Sale Creek, TN 37373 with Reverend Jay Reed officiating.
