Carolyn Robertine “Robbie” Dempsey Hollis, 74, of Rossville, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017.
She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and a member of New Beginning Baptist Church. Robbie retired from Oslin Mortgage in 2004 after 30 plus years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, loved taking in the sights at the beach and would spend hours watching NASCAR. Robbie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Dempsey and Betty Robinson; and brother, Corky Robinson.
Robbie is survived by her children, Christy (Jimmy) Smith of Rossville and Bryan Hollis of East Ridge; step-mother, Maxine Dempsey of Chattanooga; sister, Kim Wycuff of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Shannon Cavin, Courtney Simmons, and Matthew Smith; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 10, in the funeral home chapel, with Minister Charles Cochran officiating. Interment to follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens-East.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday and prior to the service on Monday.
