Michael Danny Weinmann, 69, of Chattanooga entered his eternal home and was healed of his Parkinson's Disease on Sunday, July 30th, 2017 at the Etowah Health Center in Etowah, TN.

 

Mike was born on August 16, 1947 in Akron, OH to the late James Michael Weinmann and Kathel Pauline Holder Weinmann. Mike answered his country's call to duty and served for four years as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. During that time, he worked as a Security Police Officer and K-9 Handler & Trainer during the Vietnam Conflict.

 

Mike returned to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, married and had two sons. During this time, he worked as a Machinist for Americon Equipment Service, Inc., a division of Babcock & Wilcox Company.

 

On February 14, 1993, he married the love of his life, Judy Powell Munger. He moved to Chattanooga and they set up residence there. Never once in their entire marriage did they have an argument. Mike and Judy owned and operated AAA Sitting Service, where he served as Director of Operations. Mike was a Certified Phlebotomist, Certified Nursing Assistant and held an Associate of Science degree from Chattanooga State Technical Community College. He and Judy were members at Morris Hill Baptist Church.

 

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Linda Fleming; brother-in-law, Stephen Fleming; niece, Paula Fleming and a step-son, Robby Munger.

 

He is survived by his wife, Judy Weinmann; sister, Beth Curenton; son and his wife, Jamie & Gina Weinmann; son, Matt Weinmann; step-son, Rusty Munger; grandson, Dillon Munger; granddaughter, Devan Munger; three nephews, Marc Fleming, Shawn Fleming and Thomas Curenton and his wife, Morgan; two very special cousins, Debbie Roberts and Geraldine Tanner; numerous extended family and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Bill Mason officiating. Interment will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. Active pallbearers will be Greg Baggett, Raymond Baker, Bryon Boller, Orville Donohoo, Ron Henderson, Dillon Munger, and Rusty Munger. Honorary pallbearers are: Ken Blankenship, Ric Dancovic, Mike Knox, Mike Malloy, Ricky Parker, Fred Pickton, Ronnie Powell (deceased), Ben Riley (deceased), Marvin Scott, Bob Snider, Floyd Stiner and Eddie Williams.

 

The Weinmann family would like to take this time to express their appreciation and love to the staff of Etowah Health Center. The care you provided to both Mike and our family is unparalleled. Each of you will always hold a very special place in our hearts. God blessed us by giving you to our family.
