Kerry Swopes
Kerry Deleon Swopes, 52, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 in a local hospital.
He was formerly employed by Propex Industries for 29 years. Kerry was a member of New Anointing Pure Holiness Church.
Survivors include wife of 24 years, Angela Swopes; daughter, Maresha Swopes; step-daughter, Gumina Ashford; step-son, Michael Shropshire, Jr.; parents, Frank and Willie Ella Swopes, Sr., all of Chattanooga; brothers, Frank (Erica) Swopes, Jr. of Savannah, Ga., and Dexter Swopes of Chattanooga; sisters, Reba (Grylin) Swopes and Cynthia White; uncle, Darnell (Faye) Turner; aunts, LaVonia Heard, Gloria Hayden, Patricia Tolliver, Juanita Bush, Priscilla Thomas, Gaynell Acklin, Bernadette (Jeffery) Hawkins, Joyce Smith, all of Chattanooga, and Glinda (George) Billingsley of Sweetwater, Tn.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Family hour will be on Friday, April 13, from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday at noon in the chapel with Pastor Corey Prather as the eulogist. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
