Tai Chi for Arthritis is a program designed to improve the quality of life for people with arthritis and others. The program includes agile steps and exercises that may improve mobility, breathing and relaxation. The movements have higher stances, which make it easy and comfortable to learn. It’s led by a Tai Chi for arthritis certified instructor.

Overview of the class:
What are the Benefits?? Reduced pain and stiffness ? Improved ability to cope with stress and depression ? Improved concentration and memory ? Improved balance and coordination ? Improved muscle strength and stamina ? Improved posture and body awareness ? Increased circulation, heart and lung function
How is the Program Structured? It consists of warm up, cool down and 12 movements using the Sun style of Tai Chi exercises. The movements are then reversed for added challenge.
Who can Participate? Individuals with mild to moderate impaired joint motion and/or strength. Also, individuals not affected by arthritis who wish to begin a joint-safe Tai Chi program. Movements can be adapted for those unable to stand for prolonged time. The program is for beginners with no prior Tai Chi experience. Check with your doctor if you have health concerns before the class.
