Edna Earle McBryar, 103, died at Life Care of Collegedale on October 9, 2019.

Edna was a longtime East Brainerd resident and member of Brainerd Hills Church of God.  She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother who was a wonderful southern cook and kept a beautiful flower and vegetable garden.  She was a woman of strong faith who has been looking forward to heaven for the last few years.  She will be surely missed by her family and friends, but we have peace we know where she is.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Denver and Bonnie Blevins; brother, Arle Blevins; sister, Alice Hartley; sister, Dimple Wheeler; brother, Randall Blevins; brother, Lavoy Blevins; and her husband, Nathan McBryar.

She is survived by her son, Jerry (Jenny) Smith; granddaughter, Denise (Greg) Evans; grandson, Victor (Sue) Smith; great-grandkids, Aubrey Smith, Garrett Smith, Riley Evans and Shelby Evans; sisters, Opal Privette and Ernestine Hatcher; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:30-2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, at the funeral home, followed by the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Charles Pittman officiating.

Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.

The family would like to thank the staff members of Life Care of Collegedale (especially Keisha, Vera, Stephanie and Lana) for their awesome care the last five months.
