James Lynn "Jim" Shackleford
James Lynn "Jim" Shackleford, born on October 31, 1955, joined his heavenly father on Monday, October 7, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He graduated from Kirkman Technical High School in 1973. Jim was a printer for Gilman Paint/Jones-Blair for the majority of his life. Most recently, Starkey Printing was his work family. Jim was an avid Harley rider and loved being in God’s creation on the road. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed his cigars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Martha Shackleford, and son-in-law, Bobby Bowling.
Jim is survived by his loving daughters, Jennifer Bowling and Jamie (Howard) Connell; five grandchildren, Chris and Madi Bowling and Dillian, Lainey and Eli Connell; brothers, John (Sherri) Shackleford and Bill Shackleford; niece and nephews, Keith Shackleford, Kevin (Jill) Shackleford, Kara Shackleford, Mark Shackleford and Justin (Meredith) Shackleford and several great nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Mike Bower officiating.
