A University of Georgia photographer who was knocked unconscious as she stood on the sidelines at the Auburn game on Saturday has been released from the hospital.

Chamberlain Smith was carted off the field after being struck by a player and was taken to East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Her mother, Layna Smith, later said she  was "conscious & in good spirits."

It was reported that some of the Georgia players were praying for her at halftime, and Coach Kirby Smart sent his well wishes.

The mother said, "Chamberlain is conscious & in good spirits. She has a concussion, some minor scratches & bruises but otherwise seems to be alright. She has been released from the hospital & will be resting for the next few days. Thank you for your continued concern, love & prayers. We truly appreciate each & every one of you who have reached out to us."

She added, "On the plus side Georgia won!"

Some family members drove from Ringgold to the Alabama hospital soon after the incident happened.
