Sandra J. Gill was born March 4, 1959, to parents, Napoleon Murphy and Charlotte Davenport in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She departed this life on October 16, 2019.
She resided the majority of her life in Chattanooga where she attended Riverside High School.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Hendricks; brothers, Emmitt Davenport and William (Billy) Hendricks; stepsister, Gwendolyn Murphy; stepson, Alex Gill. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Alvin Gill of Indianapolis; father, Napoleon (Rose) Murphy; step siblings, Henrietta (Norman) Miree, Roger Strickland, Tyrone (Lakecha) Strickland, Carla (Anthony) Bently,; children, Shartella (Fredrick) Brown, James (Adrianne) Davenport, Tunyekia (Marshall) Adamson-Thurman, Luther (Regenia) Adamson, Kiunta (Karlos) Starks; stepchildren, Tristan Gill, Natasha Smith, Elisha Smith and Tyrese Gill; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Public viewing will begin at noon on Friday, Nov. 8, with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3777 Wilcox Blvd. Chattanooga, Tn. 37411. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
