The Ivy Rose Foundation, Inc. and the Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.’s triennial production of Fashionetta will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Chattanooga Convention Center at 6 p.m.
This year’s theme is “Fashionetta 2019 – A Dream Comes True.”
Fashionetta is a traditional expansion program of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. that was conceived in 1946 by Pi Omega Chapter in Chattanooga, under the leadership of Ruth Blackshear and Ola Bell.
Fashionetta 2019 marks the culmination of activities for Little Debutantes, Junior Debutantes, and Senior Debutantes who have spent the summer and fall learning social graces, academic skills, and cultural exposure intended to ready them for their grand debut and life. Each of the groups also participated in community service projects.
The event will be an evening of elegance and entertainment with the crowning of Little Miss Fashionetta, Miss Junior Fashionetta, and Miss Fashionetta.
There is a $40 donation for tickets. For ticket information, contact Mary Ann Maffett at 322-2526. All donations are tax exempt and will be used for scholarships and community service projects.
