Storage Units Planned On Former "Borrow Pit" Off East Brainerd Road

Storage units are planned on a former "borrow pit" on East Brainerd Road near Banks Road.

Mike Price of MAP Engineers said the property was dug out and then refilled and is not suitable for residential development.

He said there is a cell tower nearby as well as an EPB substation and the site of a future substation.

Mr. Price said under current zoning it could be used for duplexes, mobile homes or farming.

He said climate controlled storage would go at the front of the property, while mini warehouses would be out of sight at the rear.

He said an existing entrance would be used after being straightened.
