Chattanooga State Alumna Retired From The State Of Tennessee

Tammy Denise Parks, 55, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019, in Chattanooga.  

She attended Riverside High School and later graduated from Chattanooga State Technical College. She retired from the State of Tennessee and was a member of St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Carl Parks; daughters, Chanicqua Hill, Shauntell Parks; son, Terence (Natalie) Parks; three grandchildren; three brothers, Terry, Steven, and Samuel Hill, all of Georgia and a host of other relatives, nieces and nephews.

The body will lie in state on Thursday, Feb. 21, after noon.

The family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, at St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Billy E. Church officiating.
