House Speaker Casada To Be Lincoln Day Dinner Speaker For Rhea County Republicans

The Rhea County Republican Party announced that Tennessee State House Speaker Glen Casada of Thompson’s Station in Williamson County will be the speaker at the annual Lincoln Day Dinner on April 13, 2019 at the Rhea County High School.

Speaker Casada has been a member of the House since 2003 and was the former Republican Majority Leader from 2017-2019. He was elected as the 82nd Speaker of the house after Beth Harwell stepped down to run for Governor.

He is originally from Jeffersonville, Ind. and a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Education. He served on the Williamson County Commission from 1994 until 2001. He also has served as the Republican Caucus Chairman before becoming Majority leader.

The function will start at 5:30 with a meet and greet and the dinner will begin at 6 p.m. There will also be a live auction.
