Silverdale Baptist Academy will offer its 1,100 students and families an opportunity to experience all that the greater Chattanooga area has to offer in the area of outdoor recreation with its annual Creation Celebration in an outdoor adventure expo format.
This year's Creation Celebration will be held Thursday, April 4, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. all across the campus of Silverdale Baptist Academy.
Silverdale will host 25+ vendors and venues specializing in hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, horse therapy, agriculture, and more. A few notable guests include the Tennessee Valley Authority, Adventure Sports Innovation, Southern Adventist University’s Outdoor Leadership Program, Sportsman’s Warehouse, and more.
There will also be a guest speaker from the world of search and rescue working with student groups throughout the day on what to do if they ever get lost and are in a survival situation. Students will have the opportunity to identify local venomous snakes, spiders, insects, and poisonous plants, and a bear biologist will be on-site as well to answer any questions related to the local bear population.
