Oran Hitchcock, Jr., 59, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, in a local hospital. 

He was a graduate of Brainerd High School class of 1978. He retired from Bi-Lo Warehouse. Oran was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oran and Sallie Hitchcock, Sr; brothers, Joseph “Joe” Hitchcock and Charles “Chuck” Hitchcock.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Jackie Hitchcock; son, Alexander Bullard, Jr.; daughters, Laquata Channtel Hitchcock, Domique Ashley Hitchcock, Thessalonia Reane Hitchcock, Obadiah Hitchcock, and Kanpaneshia Moore; three grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Kenny) James; brother, Walter Hitchcock; sisters-in-laws, Pamela Mathis, Selene Hitchcock, and Cindy Woods; brother-in-law, Cecil Billings; a host of other relatives and friends.

He will lie in state on Saturday, May 18, after 4 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, May 19, at 1:30 p.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne L. Johnson as the eulogist. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
