Dondell Therese Garner, Sr., 68, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019, in a local hospital.
He was a graduate of Howard High School class of 1969. He was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Dondell was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie and Sadell Garner; brothers, Grady Garner and Tommie Garner; sister, Lessie Fourte.
Survivors include his son, Dondell Garner, Jr. of Chattanooga; daughter, Danielle Garner of Atlanta; three grandchildren; brothers, Tommie (Gaylon) Garner, Jr., Robert Garner, both of Chicago, and Frederic (Charlene) Garner of Marietta, Ga.; sister, Jean Randall of Chicago; a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 23, from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, May 24, at 1 p.m. at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Kelvert Scruggs as the eulogist. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
