Steve Worley
Ronald Steven "Steve” Worley, 66, of Soddy Daisy, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 23, 2019.
Steve was born in Chattanooga on June 21, 1952. He was an employee of Lawson Electric for nearly 50 years along with his brother and father. He was also a longtime member of IBEW Local 175.
He was preceded in death by his father, W.C. Worley.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Worley of Middle Valley; partner of more than 25 years, Carolyn Hughes; his brother, Terry Worley; his sister, Kim (Steve) Evans; his nephews, Andy Blakemore and Adam (Erin) Blakemore; his great-nephew, Sam Blakemore; Carolyn’s nieces, Shelby and Rylee and nephew, Nathan; her brothers, Charles (Angie) Hughes, Dennis (Christy) Hughes, and her father, Herschel Hughes; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 26, from 12-3 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 3 p.m. with Reverend Lemuel Wade and Chaplain George Sherman officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ronald McDonald House, www.rmhc.org/donate or to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, www.stjude.org/donate in Steve’s honor.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
