Alice Krooss
Alice Melissa Moses Krooss, 72, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019, in a Chattanooga hospital.
She was born in Englewood, TN, and had lived in the Cleveland area for the past 35 years. She was of the Christian faith. She retired from M&M Mars after seven years of service and had previously worked at Padgett Furniture for 23 years. She loved gardening and flowers, and spending time outdoors. She enjoyed reading and was a very creative person.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Warren Arthur Krooss, Jr.; parents, Samuel H. Moses and Ellen Melissa Daugherty Moses; daughter, April Rondale Tallent; sisters, Martha Jo Moore and Lucy Faye Moses; and brothers, Ronnie Moses and Curt Moses.
She is survived by two children, Brian Tallent of Cleveland and Heather Allen of Charleston, TN; two step-children, Keith Krooss and wife Vickie and Tim Krooss both of Georgia; two grandchildren, Jasmine Krooss and Blythe Henderson; one great-grandchild, Remyngton Krooss; four brothers, Darrell Moses and wife Rachel of Englewood, TN, Leonard Moses and wife Carol of Vonore, TN, Troy Moses and wife Mary Lou of Englewood, TN, and Carlie Moses and wife Eva of Englewood, TN; one sister, Polly Walker and husband Jack of Englewood, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A celebration of her life will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Roberts officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
