Teenager Injured In Drive-by Shooting Late Friday Night On 6th Avenue

A teenager was shot late Friday night on Sixth Avenue.

Chattanooga Police were called at 10:54 p.m. to a local hospital after a person showed up with a gunshot wound.
 
Upon arrival, police spoke with a 16-year-old boy who was suffering from a gunshot wound. He had been transported to the hospital via personal vehicle.
 
Officers located a crime scene in the 2700 block of Sixth Avenue.
 
The CPD Violent Crimes Bureau was notified and responded to conduct further investigation.
 
The victim stated to investigators he was outside a residence when he was shot by someone passing by in a vehicle.
