Mary Wilson
Mary B. "Granny" Wilson, 99, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 15, 2019, in Chattanooga.
She was a faithful member of Hamlett Chapel CME Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Wilson; parents, Elbert and Mattie Broomfield; and brother, David Broomfield.
She is survived by son, Richard Wilson; nephew, Jammy Latham of Wyanranch, NY; niece, Mary Jackson of Aliceville, AL; godson, Herschel (Jackie) Strickland; The Hamlet Chapel Church family and her Broomfield family. Special friend, Anna Mitchell.
Special thanks to Dr. Berry and the staff and friends of Alexian Brothers PACE program where she loved to go and they loved Granny. Granny loved children and worked many years for the Nolan and Catherine Helms family.
Public viewing for Mrs. Wilson will begin at noon on Sunday, Aug. 25, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Hamlett Chapel CME Church.
Interment will be on Monday, Aug. 26, at noon at Greenwood Cemetery.
