Peggy Blaylock Pate, 70, of Rossville passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019.  

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and Rossville area where she was a 1966 graduate of Rossville High School.  Peggy retired in 2012 from the Chattanooga Free Press as a Credit Manager with over 25 years of service.  After her retirement, Peggy was an active volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association receiving a Purple Jacket.  She loved her family and enjoyed the times she was able to travel.  She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Blaylock.

Survivors include two daughters, Angela Dennis (Jeff McCuiston) and Rebecca (Kevin) Smith; mother, Lillian Blaylock; brother, Garry (Louise) Blaylock; granddaughter, Rachel Chambers; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Rylee Fowler; and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Betsy Kammerdiener officiating.

Interment will follow in the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Henegar, Al.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from noon until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
