Rick Smith, Former Hamilton County Schools Superintendent, Passes Away

Former Hamilton County Schools Superintendent Rick Smith has passed away.

Mr. Smith was superintendent from 2011 until 2016.

County Mayor Jim Coppinger said in a statement, "Our deepest condolences to the family of Rick Smith on his untimely passing. Rick was a dedicated educator whose passion for education impacted thousands of students throughout the decades."
