Virginia Opal Ferrell, 92, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 16, 2020. 

She was the daughter of the late Roland and Nona Jobe Rooks. Virginia was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church and was an avid gardener and had won Gardener of the Month. 

She was also preceded in death by six siblings.

Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 74 ½ years, Robert Lee Ferrell, Jr., daughters, Sandra Ferrell and Peggy Silliman, grandchildren, Tammy Locklear, Sherry Groce, and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tony Vona officiating in the Chapel of Devotion. 

Family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

It is requested the face mask be worn and that all Hamilton County and the CDC’s mandate be followed.
