Georgia Has 42 New COVID Deaths, 2,514 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Wednesday there have been 42 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 8,536.

There were 2,514 new cases as that total reached 393,980 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 33,667, up 228 from Tuesday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 1,809 cases, up 29; 26 deaths; 94 hospitalizations, up 3

Chattooga County: 1,077 cases, up 2; 30 deaths; 77 hospitalizations, up 3

Dade County: 448 cases, up 6; 7 deaths, up 1; 26 hospitalizations, up 2

Walker County: 2,297 cases, up 32; 50 deaths, up 1; 109 hospitalizations, up 4

Whitfield County: 6,826 cases, up 43; 76 deaths, up 1; 331 hospitalizations, up 4
