John Leonard Knowles
John Leonard Knowles, age 61, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020, at his residence.
He was the son of the late Jack and Mabel Huggins Knowles and was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, David and Leona Huggins; paternal grandparents, Elmer and Jessie Knowles; brothers, Tim Knowles, Roy Edwards and Tony Edwards; sisters, Rose Knowles Crabtree and Kathy Edwards McCann; special nephew, Daniel Dodd; niece, Rhonda Edwards; and nephews John McCann and Brent Honey.
John was a long time employee with Second Harvest Thrift Store and Ministry Center.
He is survived by his sisters, Carolyn “Bobbie” Cross and her husband Boyd of Benton, Helen Williams and her husband Ray of Cleveland; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Friday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Joe Hanshaw officiating. The interment will follow at Hayes Shed Cemetery with family and friends serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 19, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
