Residential Project Planned At Former Horse Farm On Snow Hill Road

  • Tuesday, February 11, 2020

A residential development is planned on 101 acres at a former horse farm at 6424 Snow Hill Road.

Billy McCoy is the developer for Sweet Briar.

There are 199 units planned, including 137 in the first phase.

Neighbors cited traffic issues, including fatal wrecks, on the narrow road.

Todd Leamon, county public works administrator, said TDOT is running a safety audit on the road. He said the average daily load is 7,800 vehicles.

The development team said turning lanes will be added at the entrance to the subdivision.

Land in the flood plain will be left as green space, it was stated.
