Navy Veteran Owned Several Pharmacies And Was Pilot

Gary Keel, age 70of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.

 

Gary was born in Chattanooga to the late Wyley and Virginia Keel.  Gary graduated from Chattanooga City High, then he joined the United States Navy.  After serving in the United States Navy, Gary returned to MTSU for his under graduate schooling and received his Pharmacy Degree from Samford University.  Gary owned and operated several pharmacies in the area.  He was a member of Clear Creek Church of Christ.  Gary was a duck hunter and private pilot who enjoyed flying.     

 

Gary is survived by his former wife, Gloria Keel Edwards; sons, Dr. Chris (Angella) Keel and Dr. Brad (Amanda) Keel; four grandkids, Charlotte, Avery, Audrey, and Conway. 

 

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, February 21, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

 

A Celebration of Gary’s life will follow at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 21, at the North Chapel with Minister Jim Brown officiating.  Burial will be in National Cemetery with military honors.
