What is arguably Chattanooga’s most famous chicken-centric eatery will no longer be serving dine-in customers. After Mayor Andy Berke directed restaurants to not serve customers in a dine-in capacity, Champy’s Famous Fried Chicken on 526 E ML King Blvd. complied with the order.
Champy’s posted the following comment on their Facebook page:
“We are now serving drive thru ONLY! Call ahead & order all the goods from either of our Chattanooga locations.
Out of precaution, we ask that you please pay over the phone using a credit card. Due to the circumstances, we will not have crawfish this weekend. See ya at our pick up window!”
Champy's announced earlier this week it was pledging up to $100,000 for their hourly workers. They will be giving all hourly workers a check for $700.
