The fifth of six races in the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model series was Tuesday night at East Bay Raceway Park and it produced the fifth different winner on the "Reopening Tour" mini series as Evans, Georgia's Brandon Overton (# 76) got the $7,000 victory over Monday's winner Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville and Jimmy Owens of Tennessee.

Overton and Owens brought their respective mounts to the green flag on the front row, but it was JD (AKA Superman) whom nearly stole the show for the second consecutive night. Overton, whom won a non-sanctioned race in his home state Saturday, would muscle the lead back from JD and never look back stretching his margin of victory to a half straightaway as the laps waned.

The "Georgia Giant" Shane Clanton would finish fourth narrowly ahead of hometown favorite Kyle Bronson whom raced from 18th to 5th overall at the conclusion of the 40 lapper.

The tours four other winners include Owens, Bronson, Josh Richards and JD. Wednesday night will see the mid-week finale event at EBRP where someone will take not only the nightly winners $7,000, but also the additional $5,000 for the mini series championship that began a week ago on the South Georgia coast at Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick.

Neither track has allowed fans in the grandstands as ordered by their state officials during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

Lucas Oil Racing TV internet broadcast begins again Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. for subscribers.
