Musson, James Cecil (LaFayette)

On Saturday, May 16,2020, James Cecil Musson, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 87.

James Musson better known by Cecil was born Oct. 8, 1932, to Tom and Lola Musson. James Cecil Musson joined the navy during the Korea War.  He was stationed in San Diego.  During his service to this country, he married the love of his life, Edna Grace Mulkey. Cecil moved back to Baton Rouge, La and started a family. He had two daughters and one son. Cecil loved sports, hunting and fishing.  He and his wife retired to the mountains of LaFayette, Georgia. 

He was preceded in death by both parents, sister Tommie, brother Sidney, son Cecil Ray and beloved wife of 63 years Edna.   

He is survived by two daughters, Darlene Hein and Belinda Forbes, a granddaughter who was like his own, Joni Gaughan and five grandsons Chris, Joshua, James and Matthew Forbes and also Mark Kittle. He was also blessed to have 11 great-grandchildren and two special family members; Lorraine McDaniels and Pat Gauthier, as well as a special family friend, Jack Kittle.  He will be dearly missed.   
Services will be held in Denham Springs, La. later in the month.
