Held Long Career With Hess’s Department Store

Sarah Edith Tillison, 95, of East Brainerd went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 26, 2020.

A resident of Chattanooga for the past 65 years, Mrs. Tillison was a longtime member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church. She retired from Hess’s Department Store after 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Tillison; and son-in-law, Jim Lewis.

Survivors are her daughters, Vickie (George) Eaves, Chattanooga, and Peggy Lewis, Knoxville; son, Dennis (Carol) Tillison, Rossville;  grandchildren, Scot (Julie) Eaves, Staci (DeWayne) Lane, Jamie (Celeste) Lewis, Heather Eaves, David (Karen) Lewis, April (Josh) Thrasher, Jason (Mindy) Tillison, and Michael (Taylor) Tillison; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Spencer Eaves, Abby Benson, Anna, Wesley, Andrew, Braxton, Britton and Baylor Lewis, Dominick Warner, A.J. and Carson Walker, Jaxon, Fletcher, and Mathis Tillison; sisters-in-law, Jewel Slater, Sarah Clark, Janie Hartsook, and Shirley (Ronald) Miller; brother-in-law, Buddy (Nancy) Tillison; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Monday, June 29, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Richard Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with Scot Eaves, Jamie Lewis, David Lewis, Jason Tillison, Michael Tillison, and Cameron Eaves serving as pallbearers.
