Billy Muir
Billy Ray Muir, 69, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at a local hospital.
He was surrounded by his loving family. Billy had been employed with AT&T for 30 years before his retirement.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Lee Muir and Mary Lou Sanders Muir; brothers, Michael and Kenneth Muir; sister, Sherry Muir.
Billy is survived by his wife, Margaret Faye Pittman Muir; sons, James Patrick Muir and fiancé’ Tiffany Collins, Jason Scott Muir (Tosha); daughter, Amanda Helms (Matthew); brothers, Edgar Lee Muir and Billy Joe Henegar (Holly); sister, Tina Lynn Gudger; grandchildren, Alex, Blake and Cole Muir, Connor and Reilly Bearden, Addison and Ava Muir, Justin Helms, Caden and Jaxon Stewart; and several nieces and nephews.
He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Faith Baptist Church. Bill loved fishing and hunting. His family meant so much to him and he adored each of his children and grandchildren with all his heart. Billy loved hanging out in his barn and he was always working on anything to fix. He was a genuine handy man just like his dad.
There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, June 30, at 1 p.m. CT at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Garden Cemetery with Pastor Roger Webb officiating.
