Tennessee Tops 100,000 In Coronavirus Cases; Has 1,020 Deaths

Tennessee now has 100,822 coronavirus cases, an increase of 1,778. There have been 1,020 who have died from the virus in the state, reported health officials on Wednesday, an increase of 21. 

There have been 4,482 patients hospitalized in Tennessee from the virus, up 110. 

Officials said 62,129 have had the virus and recovered.

Over 1.4 million have been tested.

Hamilton County had 89 more cases of coronavirus, health officials reported on Wednesday. The new total is 5,292. The death toll remains at 46.

There are 1,537 active cases in Hamilton County.  Those who have recovered from the virus total 3,709. 

There are currently 105 people hospitalized in Hamilton County with COVID-19, 13 more than on Tuesday. Of those, 50 are Hamilton County residents. 

There are 29 in ICU in Chattanooga hospitals, down one from Tuesday.

Davidson County: 18,545 cases, 194 deaths

Shelby County: 19,522 cases, 273 deaths

Bledsoe County:  654 cases, 1 death

Bradley County: 1,555 cases, 10 deaths

Franklin County: 232 cases, 3 deaths

Grundy County: 89 cases, 2 deaths

Knox County: 3,444 cases, 27 deaths

Marion County: 183 cases, 4 deaths

McMinn County: 442 cases, 20 deaths

Meigs County: 84 cases, No deaths

Monroe County: 297 cases, 9 deaths

Polk County: 123 cases, 0 deaths

Rhea County: 454 cases, 1 death

Sequatchie County: 88 cases, 0 deaths
