The Hamilton County Jail experienced a small grease fire in the kitchen operations area on Thursday.
The fire was quickly contained prior to the arrival of fire department personnel.
No injuries or damage were sustained as a result of the incident.
The HCSO assures the community all operations at the Hamilton County Jail continue as normal and would offered its appreciation Chattanooga Fire Department for its quick response.
