Janette Roberts Brumlow

There is a celebration going on for the Lord has taken his daughter home. Our Lord blessed this earth on July 20, 1940 with the birth of Janette Roberts Brumlow, and left it filled with sadness on July 1, 2020.

Janette fondly known as Mom, Momma, Granny Nette, Aunt Nette, sister, and friend, was a fierce warrior for the Lord. She spread the Gospel and his message of love throughout her life.

She enjoyed teaching children about Jesus through song and scripture.  She fought for injustices writing letters to the courts, and newspapers to help fight for those who had no voice.  She did not cast her eyes down on others, but lifted people up, feeding the hungry and taking in the homeless. She never met a stranger.

Her family was her pride and joy. She took great pleasure in caring for and loving her sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Janette had a light that could not be put out. She had the art of storytelling and humor. She could keep you entertained and laughing until your body ached. Her smile was contagious.

She now embraces the Lord, her parents, Leasie and Lola; husband, Tommy; sister Sybil; and her baby boy, Eddy.

She is loved and will be forever missed by her devoted sons Mike, James and Chris, grand children Megan, Alex Rebecca, Nick, Jason and Mallory, great grandchildren Kaia and Bentley, her brothers Gene and Lonnie, and her nieces Lisa, Kim and Bridget, and many nephews who she loved so very much.

To be absent from the body and out of our sight is to be present with the Lord and that’s where she is now, with the Lord.

Continue to shine bright until we meet again.
We love you and miss you.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 7, from 11a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in funeral home chapel.
