COVID Claims 96 More Georgia Residents; State Has 3,372 New Cases; 2 More Deaths Bring Whitfield Total To 36

Georgia state health officials reported on Saturday there have been an additional 96 deaths due to the coronavirus. The new total is 4,669.

There were 3,372 new cases as that total reached 235,168 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 22,028 - up 210 since Wednesday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 709 cases, up 10; 11 deaths; 55 hospitalizations

Chattooga County: 355 cases, up 6; 4 deaths; 17 hospitalizations

Dade County: 153, cases, up 6; 2 deaths; 10 hospitalizations

Walker County: 808 cases, up 17; 17 deaths, up 1; 43 hospitalizations - up 2

Whitfield County: 3,700 cases, up 22; 36 deaths - up two; 191 hospitalizations, up 3

The cases remain centered around the Atlanta area:

Cobb County: 14,826 cases - up 136; 338 deaths - up 4 

DeKalb County: 14,926 cases - up 180; 262 deaths - up 8

Fulton County: 21,867 cases - up 266; 472 deaths - up 9

Gwinnett County: 21,411 cases - up 236; 287 deaths - up 4
